I am currently running a photography program with 13 fabulous people called Up Close & Personal. I started by teaching them a full day workshop on macro photography and now we are doing 14 macro challenges to practice what we have learned. Every day I'll send out a new theme!

OIL & WATER

Today's theme is to mix things up, literally. We had to mix two or more substances to create a blend, and then capture abstract images of the designs. I went with oil & water, because even though I've been a photographer for 22 years, I've never intentionally tried this technique. Holy heck, was it ever tedious and involved! In the end, I took 238 photos. Here are the best ones of the bunch. I have to say, this was far more rewarding than I thought it would be. I'm kind of addicted!
