We stood on the side of a busy street and looked both ways. Not to see if traffic was coming - that’s a given in Rome - but to decide which way to go. Spying an interesting looking open doorway to the left, we headed for it. We stepped over the chain and walked through the hallway… only to look up and see THIS.
