The weather cooperated perfectly for our last day of the macro challenge. When temperatures drop to -18 degrees Celsius, bubbles freeze in the most incredible patterns. Macro lenses capture the beauty in stunning pieces of artwork!
This morning my husband and I kept ourselves entertained blowing bubbles in the freezing air and watching as they transformed before our eyes. Now there's a perfect date to win a woman's heart.
"I don't think of all the misery, but of the beauty that still remains." - Anne Frank
While I was out there, I captured some of the beautiful frost and snowflakes dusting the yard.
After that, I brought the bubbles indoors and used my macro lens to capture the amazing colours and patterns that swirl through them. It was unbelievable all the incredible designs that were created in front of my eyes! I was short for time so I only had a chance to capture a few shots, but they took my breath away!
That wraps up our 14 day macro challenge. It has been insane, time consuming, mentally challenging, technically far-fetched, demanding and more rewarding that I ever expected. Thank you for following along for the ride!
I will be sharing some of my students' best shots within the next couple of days. Stay tuned!
