What kind of swimmer are you? Do you prefer to slowly wade in and adjust to the water’s temperature or do you jump right in and get the shock of the cold over and done with?
Anyone who knows me could probably guess that I’m a ‘jump-right-in’ kind of gal. I like to get to the good part! I want to spend my time in the water splashing, diving, playing and having fun! Why prolong it? My son, pictured here, is just like me. He’s barely got one toe on the ladder and he’s already mid-air, taking the leap.
My husband and daughter are of the ‘slowly-but-surely’ variety. They don’t enjoy being cold, so while Len pretty much avoids the pool (or any body of water) altogether, Mikayla perches herself on a floatie and dips her toes in occasionally. She shrieks with injustice if anyone happens to splash her. Heaven forbid she should
get wet in the pool!
Thought for the Day
I love how we are all different, with our own quirks and personalities that make us unique. I love how we balance each other out so perfectly. I tend to be a bit of a jumper in most areas of life, and it’s only by God’s perfect plan that I ended up with a husband who hangs back, looks things over and smooths the ripples of my giant leap of faith as he slowly makes his way into the situation. We make a perfect team!
