How often do you go on a road trip and capture photos of the scenery and all the other people you are with, leaving no trace in your album whatsoever that you were even there except for awkward go-go-gadget-selfies?
Yeah. Me too.
But not this time.
For the past three days, I was hosting an amazing photography road trip and I gave myself a personal challenge to document the trip as if someone else was capturing me enjoying it. All of these photos are self-portraits taken on timer, but I attempted to achieve creative compositions and authentic moments. Quite the test of my skills and a real workout running back and forth, but a lot of fun.
You gotta try this on your next trip. It's handy to have a tripod, but when I didn't feel like carrying it, I used anything I could find to prop up my camera, including rocks, my camera case and a ziploc bag of celery sticks. Whatever it takes!
And wow!!! Would you look at the amazing places I visited in just three days!
