Macro Challenge #13

Sometimes I get paid to play with toys! haha.

Today's macro challenge was to create close up scenes using toys as our main characters. It brought back all sorts of memories of playing with my brothers (in fact, I think these are their old army guys from our childhood that have since been passed on to my son.)

I always was a tom-boy at heart and was never really interested in dolls. So for this challenge, I was true to my combative side and opted to create some intense battle scenes.

For my main photo of the day, I featured two of my daughter's favourite Overwatch characters, Mercy & Pharah in combat. Although Mercy is Mikayla's favourite, Pharah was the victor in this one.

Here is a behind the scenes look at the set I created for these shots. The background/floor photo is one I took in Venice when I was there in 2014. I wish I could have left this set up for days and kept playing, but unfortunately, it had to be cleaned up so we could make dinner.
